Hiko low voltage switchgear frames for transformer and distribution applications are designed, engineered and built for safety and reliability to deliver value through the asset lifecycle.
Safety is embedded into Hiko LV switchgear frames through:
- fully insulated busbars
- generously sized high temperature rated polycarbonate transparent covers
- latest generation EFEN vertical fuse-switch disconnects (and optional circuit breakers and other arc-flash mitigating treatments)
- integral CT’s, high voltage CT wiring and fully rated CT test blocks.
The Wall Mount Frame is engineered for robust, secure mounting of low voltage switchgear and related assemblies directly onto building walls or other vertical surfaces. Drawing on Hiko’s proven design methodology, the Wall Mount Frame enables safe installation in under 30 minutes, minimizing site disruption and maximizing operational uptime. Its universal mounting system accommodates a wide range of installation scenarios, making it suitable for both new builds and retrofit projects.
The frame is constructed from high-grade stainless steel for superior corrosion resistance and long-term durability. Key design features—such as integrated handles, lifting eyes, and lightweight brackets—ensure ease of handling and installation.
Safe operating performance and long-term reliability are assured by our design methodology that includes mechanical, electrical and thermal modelling and testing, and our manufacturing process in line with the requirements of AS/NZS61439.1 and 61439.5.
The precisely engineered design is combined with light weight construction to support ease of installation. An almost unlimited variety is available.
Service panels are available for all frames to suit customer requirements. These can be fitted pre-wired with analogue or digital metering, MDIs, street-lighting, hot water connections and LV network monitoring systems
